Kangaroo Island Part 1
Updated: Jan 12, 2022
Kangaroo Island is 4,405 square kilometres in size. It's also seven times Singapore's size. Due to its variegated topography, Kangaroo Island may have the densest and most diverse assortment of wildlife in Australia.
Since 1847, there have been around 80 shipwrecks off the coast of KI. The last of the three lighthouses (Cape Borda, Cape du Couedic, and Cape Willoughby) was completed in 1909, but there have been at least 19 shipwrecks since then, the most recent in 2008.
Here is the first part of our 11 day trip on Kangaroo Island:
Stokes Bay:
Stokes Bay is a hidden paradise where we have to go through a really slim path surrounded of rocks. We then discovered a beautiful beach where we got to swim and have some fun with our water bouncing ball. The water was freezing 🥶 !!!
Vivonne Bay:
What a lovely spot, close to the coastline and a beautiful river, where we were able to put our joint Christmas gift with my brother to the test. We recently received a beautiful ITIWIT Inflatable Kayak, which is fantastic. The river was wild, with lovely trees growing right up to the water's edge, forming a bridge over us. It was very magical. Further away from the camp we went to see the jetty which is more exposed to the untamed ocean showing more wilderness.
